This is a worn clutch plate. A few signs of wear are scorched or worn down cork pads, or warping. Also look closely at the side of the 6 tabs sticking out, where the plate makes contact with the basket. Very worn plates will be kind of "smushed" on the sides of these tabs. Clutch rebuild kits are inexpensive enough that if there is any question you may need to replace them, it's always your best bet to do so.
